Here is the Question: How can I avoid copyright issues when using images for a video game review for my game design class?
I a doing a review for Dragon Age: Origins for my game design class and am wanting to use images such as the cover art and possible screen shots and esrb rating. Do I need to caption the images? Please help me out and please add detail on subject most people who use this net service are looking for more than just a “yes” or “no” answer. Will boost!!!!

Oblivion isn’t a Xbox exclusive so you should take that off your list, it was better received for the PS3 than the 360 anyway (AND it was ported to the PS3…how sad is that), Fallout isn’t an exclusive either, neither is Bad Company.
All the PS3 exclusives kick 360 exclusive’s ass in terms of graphics.
360 has better graphics and gameplay for multiplatform games, not to mention more exclusives. BUT PS3 exclusives are amazing, like Uncharted and Metal Gear
I like the 360 better but you are wrong about one thing. The ps3 has better graphics it’s just because of the blue ray it makes it harder to hold games so that’s why some games look better on the 369 but the ps3 does have better graphics.

To be one hundred percent safe you can go to the website and find the info and read their disclaimer. I’m trying to do the same thing with Gears of War on a personal site and on there page it gives you certain ways to credit and says what you can use it for. I don’t if all website have it, but I would think they do. The site I’m referring to is epic games if you go to the bottom of their website and look at the orange link then it describes every thing I would assume other gaming companies like the one that produced dragon age would things similar for fan sites and such.
What brandon said, fair use allows use of copywriten material for reviews, In this case you will want to credit the source site of the picture in your review, not the game creators. Generally most copywriten material can be used for educational perpouses with due credit to its respective holder. Hope that helps.
