Now-a-days many games have achievements. Back in the 8-bit and 16-bit era, beating the game was it’s own achievement.
Hell i still own a 64 and I still play super mario.
In megaman 9 i was like: “oh cool, a brand new 8bit megaman game, uh, that’s ok, i guess…” in megaman 10: “GFD STOP IT, CAPCOM!”
@steveandhisidiot That’s because you don’t have any skill. Most games today are pretty easy and can be beat in a matter of a few tries without a high level of skill. In Mega Man and in most old school games skill was required just to beat the game.

“The Flyswatter Game.”
You get two flyswatters, or make some with rulers and a hand towel, and have the class line up in two lines. (Teams- they should be about equal, but NOT exactly, so that everyone faces different people). Then you have a bunch of answers on an overhead projector. You should have one sheet of names, and one of battles, and one of whatever you want them to know, or simply one big thing with all the answers, regardless of category. Give a flyswatter to each student at the front of the line and ask them a question, like “Who was the ‘Swamp Fox?’” The person who slaps the correct answer (Francis Marion, right?) on the overhead first gets a point for their team. You should either give candy to the winner of each question, or to the winning team. Your choice.
What is the grade or the student level? Any ESE or ESOL students? What about Role Play, Readers Theatre…
