What is the best way to prepare for the SAT< ie which course, Kaplan, Princeton review? – Final Fantasy XIII: Games In Review (Game Review Analysis) S02E20

Here is the Question: What is the best way to prepare for the SAT< ie which course, Kaplan, Princeton review?
I have looked up Kaplan, Princeton Review, and SylvanPrep, and have pretty much narrowed it down to pick between those three. OF those which one would you pick to prepare for the 0ct 14 2006 test, and why? Please be detailed, provide details from your own experience, and provide pros/cons. Also, what books would be ideal to supplement the course in my free month of August? I have heard a great deal about Princeton Review books and the College board guide, but are they actually helpful? Again, please provide details from personal experience and pros/cons and perhaps suggestions I may have not heard of yet. As always, I will handpick the winner of the 10 points on the factors of quality, length, and fulfillment of the entire question. Thank you in advance for your time and thought.

@Pandalovesdough so true, i mean cmon halo is the xbox360 game….you gotta love that if your a shooter person

  2. chobitsgnarlslover says:

@Mrpnut08 square enix was trying something different with this, and i think they did alright, i mean the graphics are amazing and if you pay attention the story is good. the summons was a new thing and they branched off into a new zone on those, people like cars…and most of the time you were in a city and it works… plus the combat system was new and unigue…how can you hate?

  3. chobitsgnarlslover says:

i have followed ff from the begining, and i love this game people can say that 13 is terrible because before all this it was a ps2 era….and i think with people dissing the game this much enix should be pissed. i mean think about it….5 years.. all that casting, and people are saying its a fail….the graphics are amazing and the story is good too, the combat as well, plus the summons are new and revolutionized for our newer times..ff fans should just be happy the new ff is here

@Mrpnut08 It’s because they are not, lol. Ever since the merger of Enix and SquareSoft I think around 2001 or 2002 (FFX was the last sole SquareSoft), the Final Fantasy series has taken a different path, not necessarily bad, but different.

6.5 for me its not a JRPG It has no exploring just walking forward and pressing X I did beat the game though Rpg fans… buy yakuza

  6. omarct says:

im tempted to buy this game, but the whole no main character thing really puts me off , specially in this kind of game where its all about the story, is practically a really long movie you take part in, but i want more than that, i want a main character that i can get attached to, feel a connection to, basically i wanna feel like im part of the story, not just someone moving the pieces around so the story can continue.

    @chobitsgnarlslover Graphics sucks
    after watching Transformers
most summons looks like they came from cybertron
btw i say graphics sucks cuz ive seen such ugly low res areas and jaggy knees for an rpg game that had way more time to develope this was crappy and easy to play through and no Towns?? WTH man

  11. chobitsgnarlslover says:

@WookhieManJoe i dont know how you can say that man, they did all they could with 5 years, or however, any more loaded with graphics and story lines they would have had to have 4-5 discs, plus there are towns, have you even played the game? most people should in my opinion, it has realistics, and sure the sum mons look weird but they were trying something new and it really paid off cuz it fits the technologic age of the game.

  12. WookhieManJoe says:

    @chobitsgnarlslover dude
    ??? really?
    you dont kno do ya?
in an interview they SAID whole fucking areas that could make another game altogether was cut out to port to the 360 the said areas was already running in ps3 hardware omfg i woudnt mind so many disc as long as it was good not short shitty ones with 2-3 disc

  13. chobitsgnarlslover says:

@WookhieManJoe dude, i know everything about this game, only a fuckin dumbass douche wouldnt know the story, the ideals, the work that all of those things took, think you can make up a story as good as this, and make equally good graphics, be my fuckin guest. you people gotta understand enix tried something new, and they did a good job. yet you complain because it isnt original. and you call yourself ff fans.

  14. WookhieManJoe says:

@chobitsgnarlslover when the Fuck!? did i say i was an hardcore FF fan
ye sure i played FF games before but FF never really impressed me until 9 and 10 then X2 came out which made 10′s dark charm into a charlies angel theme , thank you eniX!
now we get FF13 i dont like that wat i said so wat!? its my opinion man you dont have to reply if you dont want to

  15. chobitsgnarlslover says:

@WookhieManJoe there are people that love this game man, sometimes opinion oughta be kept to yourself cuz there are die hard ff fans out there whod string people up for saying this game sucks. id know cuz im at a school surrounded by beta testers and theyve all played and adore the game. they are some mean mother fuckers. there are always games out there man.

  16. WookhieManJoe says:

@chobitsgnarlslover your school classmates has beta testers !?
ha!? dude die hard fans would see the pros and cons of the game and call it as it is
Fanboys is wat your saying to me not Die Hard fans
like me im a die hard MGS fan but i can tell you MGS4 was a waste of my money
fuckin game had 3-4 hours of gameplay and 5-8 hours of Cutscenes

I just took the SAT in June, and I studied with books from both Princeton Review and Kaplan. They were both helpful but personally I liked the Kaplan book (SAT 2400) better because it was geared more towards achieving a near perfect score whereas the PR. book I used (Preparing for the New SAT) was more of a general help book.
The PR books are a good first book to start with because they provide a solid background of knowledge that you will need to achieve an adaquate score. I loved the Hit List of Vocab in the book. Trust me, on the SAT there are so many new words that you will have rarely seen, but if you study the Hit List in the PR book, you will be much better prepared. I suggest using flashcards and looking them over every night at least a couple weeks before your test. I know it sounds corny, but for me it really helped me to build my vocb. Also what I loved about this book was the practice tests it included. I bought the one with the CD which let you take the tests on the computer, and gives you an actual score.
Once you are more familiar with the SAT, the Kaplan SAT 2400 book will be helpful because it focuses mostly on the most difficult aspects of the test and lets you practice harder questions. It still also gives you a good background of the SAT too. Both books prepare you well for math too, by giving you formulas and practice questions.
Basically whether you use th PR book or Kaplan book in my opinion will depend on how you use them. Make sure to practice with the practice tests and study your vocab before hand. Studying the books definitely helped me a lot beacuse it provided everything that I needed to know and as I practiced the questions in the book, I became more familiar with the SAT test format in general so I was less surprised when actual test day came. Good luck!
