What is the worst of fundraising scam you hear?

I work with small non-profit groups, and I work with proposals for some potential customers. The hardest part of this business is to create trust, for many people in fundraising, the fraudsters are.
I'm collecting stories of people, bad deals and scams. Would you be interested in selling his.

    I've heard that shortly after the flood in Johnstown, PA, some people came to raise money for the "flood". He obviously took a lot of money. It turned out that his name has been flooding.

    I think that was the worst fund-raising scam of all time, when the famous television preacher (no name, no blame) said that God "call home" if his followers did not help him, some throw a lot of money in just perhaps!

    National Cancer Society. They have bears a name similar to the American Cancer Society (very good) and 450,000 indirect appearently $ 200 to make to gets the real cause.
    If you feel ill, would say: I am looking for names of ripoffs.
